Its actually a reference to the behavior of a talking dog character in one of my kid's favorite movies: Up.

Because its a kids movie, it apparently has a particular appeal to /resonance with certain posters in this forum.

And look who benefits most from them.

The 65 and over age group that are the Republicans most reliable voting demographic.

How is that for Irony?

Defense contractors are the biggest hogs at the public trough there are. They beat everybody else out by a country mile.

And worse...they come back after the 2nd or 3rd deployment so ravaged by post-traumatic stress they can barely function, and the motherfuckers sent them right back out again, no evaluation, no treatment, just another sack of cannon fodder for Cheney's war for the financial benefit of his pals at Haliburton and The Carlyle Group.
