In my experience as a military careerist the 'Pubs have been the most hostile to us when it comes to cutting or attempting to cut on promised benefits. Graham-Rudman under Reagan eliminated dental care for retirees F.I., and there have been continued sub-rosa attempts by the 'Pubs to demonstrate tax reduction on the backs of vets (whom they viewed as a disregarded expendable minority of defenseless low-hanging fruit). The diversion from recession recovery to commerce-supressing budget cutting in the guise of lowering the national debt in order to discredit the present admin by sabotaging the recovery with forced revenue reduction has put a such a crunch in the defense budget thru a bad mutual compromise agreement that survival of the military as a viable force is reduced to shifting available funding any way that sees them into the next crisis. I put this squarely on the shoulders of the Tea-Party movement and the 'Pubs, where it rightly belongs.

Posting a link describing proposed changes to Tricare in response to a post about Ryan's blow job to the MIC is a squirrel.

But you know this. It's why you posted it.

In this context, an attempt at distraction. "Hey, look at the squirrel!"

Nobody put the screws to active duty military quite like Messrs. Bush and Cheney, with their stop-loss extensions and quadruple tours of duty.

John, I know you really like me and all, but I had no idea that you feel compelled to respond to my every post. I'm very flattered. Thanks.
