So what has that got to do with anything? The feds here probably already rakes in 15 times what the Internal Revenue service does in Canada.

So why don't you just tell us how you like all that stuff pete...instead of the cutsey distracting commentary? You want Ted Cruz in your woman's reproductive organs? You want to watch a family member waste away with MS because of the endless opposition to embryonic stem cell research? You want some politician telling you that marriage is only between a man and a woman? You want Adam and Eve taught in science class? You want your tax dollars going toward vouchers for some evangelical Christian's kid's religious indoctrination?
Really? Or ya just wanna be cute, maybe.

I can't speak for Chas of course, but for myself absolutely. Otherwise what're we here for

...wants to crush every public and private sector union into dust.
...wants to continue the fantasy that we can afford the current public unions appetite for more while the same public unions could care less for the private ones
...continues to stick it's nose into every American woman's reproductive organs.
.... continues to force what they believe through an oligarchy 'cause they sure can't get the vote
...continues to support this country's democratized gun carnage.
... see above re: overturning the vote with the added bonus of brushing off the Constitution.
...continues to support outlawing public and privately funded embryonic stem cell research.
... continues to hang on to a strange fascination with embryos even though adult cells are doing fine. Btw I know a man well dying from MS, he'd rather die.
...continues to support Genesis being taught in public school science class.
... continues to taut theory as fact and no scientific cynicism, and again forcing their view past the vote
...continues to support the use of tax dollars to pay for private school children's religious indoctrination.
... continues to sacrifice poor kids in awful schools on the altar of public unions, and not letting adults decide what to do with their own money.
...continues to prefer to see 30 million of the country's citizens being denied health care coverage.
.... pretends to offer universal health care written by insurance lobbyists that isn't, and call it affordable and it isn't, while lying to get it passed
...continues to pander to idiotic populist extremists.
... OWS
...will continually bring the people of this country to the brink of economic disaster by flirting with defaulting on the country's financial obligations.
...will continually pretend our debt doesn't matter in the face of repeated economic crashes elsewhere
As far as budget matters, including military spending are concerned I find the parties so close in spending as to be virtually indistinguishable. So my disgust for the GOP is centered on the list above.
I'd support a top down audit of the military.
What say you...eh Chas?

Canada's health care system is more like a state run system here in the states rather than a national one on our sort of scale. Plus your investments in other areas like defense probably are not nearly as large as ours is.
An expansion of Medicare for those between 27-64 would be a significant entitlement increase for our society.
Geographically your country is huge. Population wise it is small. Comparitively speaking.
I think National Health here would be sort of like what happened in England when they got it...their taxes went up, their status as a world power went down. That is a hard sell here. We like to be number one even if our health care system is wacked.

Next time I'll know better than to ask you a simple question.
So I'm gonna take this as a "yes", you like Ted Cruz's nose in your woman's reproductive organs (and all the rest of it) just fine.

That's the way any insurance product works. You need to pay the premium to be covered. If you want to be covered for January 2014, you need to pay the premium in January 2014.

Ah, the "I don't care vote" combined with the "healthcare should be free" vote. Got it.

Being #1 is meaningless to me, I honestly couldn't care less if we were #10. I just want our healthcare system to cover everyone and the way we pay for it to be as fair and efficient as possible.
