That's been the big push all along. They want it for themselves. All their other "conspiracies" could not tarnish Obama's legacy if this goes through and is well received. If it move to single payer it will really be loved and then what for the far right?

Looks like Ted Cruz has phucked over the Speaker by getting him hogtied to a defund Obamacare crusade.

Does Cruz actually think he can win in 2016? If the party nominates him it may be their death knell. It would be too much of an insult to the memory to McGovern even to imply that Cruz is a right wing version of the gentleman from South Dakota. Sorry for that.

This is going to be fun to watch. I almost can't wait for the next battle in four weeks, too. These idjits have rewritten in their own minds what happened the last time this was tried by Newt and company in the '90s. Any of you conservatives out there actually remember that one? It was an unmitigated and undeniable disaster for the Repubs.

but I am scared that this time they may actually do it again and NOT BE punished....

If I was evil I would tell Obie to just hold onto the the SS checks for an extra 5 days or so after the shutdown....then the Tea Baggers would get the $%^ kicked out of them next year.
