If the people they put on the Supreme Court could read English they would have realized that the 1st does NOT support lobbying, far from it.

Carl
What I like about the Parliamentary system is the period set aside to present and discuss Private Members bills, there is non of this horse feathers about 'attaching' pork to totally unrelated bills.

When the Framers decided that Congress should write their own rules they started us down the path to totally corrupt politics.

I would sure like to see that stopped here.

C'mon, Rob. As nice as it sounds, do you think that a Constitutional Convention would not be dominated by corporate interests?

Regards,

Then toss the document and switch to a parliamentary system. Because the corporations have already bought up the present government to the point where we no longer have democracy or capitalism.

Of course it would. The Constitution would get reduced to;

Article One;

"You have the right to keep your mouth shut and do as your told in the workplace."

Article Two;

"Employers have the God given right to pollute, exploit and abuse, hindered only by their own sense of decency and ability to self-police.....Which is to say, you'd better get yourself a full chemical suit and gas mask if you plan to leave the climate controlled spaces located on the corporate compound."

Article Three;

"Every citizen has the right to leave the corporate compound if they don't like it. Provided they have trained their replacement for a period of no less than fifty years."

Article Four;

"Every citizen has the inaliable right to possess firearms....everywhere except the corporate compound, which consists of all states and territories formerly governed by the now defunct democratically elected government. Corporate masters and their bung licking sycophants excluded."

Article Five;

"You have the right to smile and tell us how happy you are with this arrangement. Anything less constitutes a bad attitude and shall result in permanent unemployment in which you will be granted your freedom to starve and drop dead."

Have a nice day.

Florida Impeding Obamacare "Navigators"

There may be low information voters, but the GOP will soon realize there are no low information patients...stuff like this is just going to hurt the Party in the long run.

I hope they do it. It would be a victory for the Democrats. Best thing to happen all year.
