Ugly is not an ugly enough word.

Laissez faire is its own special brand of anarchy. And we're much closer to laissez faire than we are to a police state, which is what is read behind your statement about the ugly head of central planning.

Most shootings here are gangbangers shooting each other. The measures in question won't touch them.

It DOES work. That's what all of those numbers indicate, Pete.
What WE'VE been doing, under the sway of the NRA, is what is NOT WORKING.

If we're comparing security vs other places, most Americans do not live in the hood. I agree then you could pull out urban areas in other countries.

Other countries have no "inner cities" or "urban areas"? England, France, Canada, S.Korea, Singapore, etc., etc................No urban areas?

Far fewer, per capita, then here. Again, what is the difference?
Population also plays a part, altthough even if you count all of Europe we're still probably higher.

No shit, ya don't say? You could count the American death toll in AFGHANISTAN this year and the death toll at home is higher.
Every time an event such as this happens, those nitwits over in La Pierreland tell us we need more guns. People run out and buy them up in droves......and it gets.....worse.....IT IS NOT WORKING.

Dave

I don't say.
The measure being put forward - halting public sales of assault weapons and perhaps some clips - will do exactly nothing, except make them more expensive.

Not exactly, Pete. It'll also make them illegal.
