You know that I have been banned as a moderator of two boards. Both of them were biased to the right wing.
It took me years to understand that the Republicans left me. Quick Draw McGraw I Ain't! I just have a few years of right wing hair splitting under my belt.

I get what you are saying, I had to read it twice before popping off (pun intended) Canada seems to have done a pretty good job of it and didn't go around melting down Winchester '73 45-70s.
BTW, see here http://www.politicalchat.org/showthread.php?t=4738. Even some of us California pot smokin' hippies have an appreciation for history!

I guess they haven't fixed that jamming problem that I heard about from all of those 'Nam vets marching with us antiwar protesters in downtown DC back in 1970-71-72? Yippie!

That's been solved many decades ago, both through chrome lining the chambers and using a different gunpowder. Not a problem anymore. The modern day M16, M4, and AR15 (variations of the same gun) are highly reliable.

People were asking me to take pics when I visited my friend. Yeah, if I even asked that would be the last time I crossed the threshold of his place. I could go on & on about his collection but I respect his privacy. He certainly doesn't fear for his security but he chooses his friends and acquaintences carefully. We never talk politics, ever but he's no crazy paranoid loser. You oughta see his little duck hunting boat from the 1800's/early 1900's. It's built in the finest tradition of American woodworking, an almost lost art. He like's cars, too. Truly museum quality stuff and then some. Unbelievable to see and hold in my hands! I would love to go to a range with him. Ya like Henry rifles? LeMatts?

I guess we just lucked out in Aurora then. I have heard that the M16 was fixed way back. Just trying to lighten the mood some, BTW.

From what I've read, the reason we lucked out in Aurora is that the perp bought a cheap aftermarket magazine.
