A friend was interested in buying an airplane that was based in Mexico. It was a Beechcraft Duke and looked good in pictures.

When he got down there to look it over with his mechanic they discovered that the wing was repaired with drywall screws.

Score one for American exports. hehe.

Yeah, Henry Ford screwed you guys out of them.

If I remember correctly, the Robertson was so superior, it cut a couple of hours out of the assembly time if each Canadian model T. Ford wanted to use them in the US also, but to do so, he wanted the excludive rights to the screw for the US. Robertson told him to go pound salt, and the piss poor Phillips Took over.
