Muller's research is much better with better methodologies IMNSHO than most previous research. Of course, still up for debate is what, if anything, can be done about it. There are very real political and economic constraints that are transnational and not likely to be solved any time soon.

BTW, the July 2012 paper in pdf is a good read for those with an interest in science. The other nice thing is that it appears that Muller's group has all the data and methods open for perusal.
