I can't imagine a scenario when this could actually happen, instead, a reversion to the old standard under a fright wing authoritarian dictatorship that ensures only the "right" folks have unrestricted unlimited access to any and all types in any quantity to support their dominance.

Reverence for the right to bear whatever arms has gone beyond the 2nd ammendment.
The ammendment is now superfluous.
