Trump's Taxes
The House Ways and Means Committee on Tuesday voted 24-16 to release former president Donald Trump’s tax returns to the public, capping a protracted legal and political battle that began when Trump was in the Oval Office.

After the vote, House Democrats revealed that the materials they obtained showed that the I.R.S. had failed to audit Mr. Trump’s tax filings during his first two years in office, despite having a program that makes audits of sitting presidents mandatory. https://www.nytimes.com/live/2022/12...eased-publicly So, at the time he was telling everyone that he would share his tax information after an ongoing audit, there was no ongoing audit because his IRS didn't fulfill their legal responsibility. I'm shocked, I tell ya, shocked.
