Trump's Taxes
The House Ways and Means Committee on Tuesday voted 24-16 to release former president Donald Trump’s tax returns to the public, capping a protracted legal and political battle that began when Trump was in the Oval Office.

This should be great fun.
After the vote, House Democrats revealed that the materials they obtained showed that the I.R.S. had failed to audit Mr. Trump’s tax filings during his first two years in office, despite having a program that makes audits of sitting presidents mandatory.

So, at the time he was telling everyone that he would share his tax information after an ongoing audit, there was no ongoing audit because his IRS didn't fulfill their legal responsibility. I'm shocked, I tell ya, shocked.

Trump is such a target rich environment for law enforcement. They might be better served if zeroing in on just a few. Get a conviction or two. There are so many avenues to go down they might get bogged down all the while the clock is ticking.
Once a guilty verdict on 45 and co conspirators the next case might be settled out of court. Deals made testimony against.....

I disagree. Trump along with Musk should continue to monopolize the headlines since this will pretty much keep the new "Kevin or not to be" GOP House out of trouble. That ill tempered group can wreak havoc on Biden's presidency with their shit show.

With the continued allowing of, not being punished for, the crimes and actions what message is being sent? I say let the GOPee do their dog and pony $hitshow. The country needs it seems to have even more of the craziness before the fever will break.
Can't let the fear of making martyrs out of those guilty of crimes stop the prosecution of.

The Lying Dotard paid zero taxes in 2020 and $750 for 2 years in the past 6 years while his IRS looked the other way instead of performing their mandatory audits.

""By 2020, however, Mr. Trump had returned to reporting losses. In fact, despite the capital gains that boosted his bottom line in 2018, the entirety of his core businesses — mostly real estate, golf courses and hotels — continued to report losses every year, totaling $60 million during his presidency. He was able to recoup $5.47 million because he had made millions of dollars in estimated tax payments that he ended up not owing.""

Got a refund of 5.47 million back???

Hey, Whell! You and your fellow MAGAMorons voted for this buffoon in part because he was a "savvy businessman". Now that there's irrefutable proof that he's a loser in every aspect of his life, including as a "businessman", don't you feel like a fool?

The House Ways and Means Committee on Friday released Donald Trump’s tax returns, dealing yet another setback to the former president and 2024 White House candidate as he faces multiple federal and state investigations.
The Democratic-led panel released the financial documents for six years, capping a protracted legal and political battle that could have been prevented had Trump followed presidential precedent and released his returns voluntarily.

While I understand the possible negative precedent of Congress releasing individuals' tax returns, Trump and his compliant Treasury Dept. brought this upon themselves. He promised to release his tax returns once audits were completed, but his own Treasury Secretary and IRS Commissioner never intended to perform these mandatory audits and thereby help Trump hide his lawlessness (which was partially exposed by the convictions of the Trump Organization and its accountant last month).
Forensic accountants are going to have a field day reviewing these documents which are likely replete with all sorts of illegal tax fraud.

I personally believe all elected and appointed (judges cabinet ect...) should be required to tax returns being public records.
