You are thereby implying that the party who wanted to kill the Congressional ethics watchdog is somehow the more ethical party. This is the same party who nominated Donald Trump, easily the least ethical Presidential candidate in the history of ethics and the only one in recent history not to release his tax returns (keeping in mind that his son has stated that Russia represents a significant part of Trump's income stream).
