This hammer is about Ethics and it is bi-partisan.

Much like the republicans have been doing for the last 9 years... but that's different...

Latest: The house Repubs have dropped their plan to gut the Ethics Office.

I guess they realized at this moment that it was a very dumb move.

The cynic in me is saying it was all a set up between Il Douche and the Repukes in the House.

The Dems need to realize NOW the game has changed, quit bringing a knife to a gun fight from now on. The Repubs are going for broke and quickly.

What evidence is there that a highly politicized body like the US Congress, awash with more lobbyist money that anyone could count in a lifetime, and with a Dem party that was roundly embarrassed by evidence of corruption at the highest levels last year, and who nominated as its standard bearer Hillary Clinton who has more baggage than O'Hare Airport, is remotely interested in ethics?

Ethics enforcement in Washington DC is nothing more than a political tool to damage political opponents. Ethics complaints by members of congress are a stone throwing contest in the glass house district.
