I just caught the tail end. Lots of hands and facial expression to punctuate and emphasize. Put me in mind of another famous demagogue, though he doesn't have the same dynamic range. A less sophisticated appeal, actually. Hitler's message boiled down to 'You, the mighty German people, can do miraculous things, and I am dedicating all my life to help you do that.'
Trump shortens it to 'I'm going to do miraculous things for you.'
Was watching the NPR/PBS coverage. Once again I see evidence of public broadcasting under attack from within. The young new hires out on the floor were looking for the positive spin, while the old guard (and some more serious acolytes) up in the booth offered serious analysis from a much more informed, and less smiling, point of view.
