So, he makes what may have been the sales pitch of his life for himself.
Whether it will prevail has yet to be determined.

He opened his speech with a "law and order" appeal and I had referred to this yesterday. With the recent spate of targeted cop killings this will resonate a lot with the American public.

And not a word about curbing police use of force.

Ha. It's good for him when cops kill blacks. It's really good for him when blacks kill cops.

That's not the point I am making DonQ, the American public will buy into it just like the 9/11 to Iraq connection that Dubya sold us. The hype gets the attention and coupled with the fact that Hillary is a lousy campaigner and an uninspiring person, Trump can very well win.
Yet the best the Dem's can do it seems is continually harp on how bad Trump is! People are going to get tired of hearing this and all they will hear is Trump, Trump, Trump. It's a scary possibility.

It's a fine mess. Any realistic positives you offer will first of all sound lackluster in comparison to Trump's promised miracles. And second, they will provide Trump with ammo, as he will attack them, whatever they are, as obviously stupid and evil.
So, what's left--attack Trump? As you point out, you risk alienating swing voters who get tired of it, while actually energizing his base.
It will be tricky--I think she needs actually to go hyper-positive, matching Trump's glittering vision, while still avoiding sounding as vapid as Trump. Just casually dismiss any Trump criticism. Some time devoted to how off-the-wall and dangerous Trump is, but not too much. Just reminders. Main idea should be to sooth and reassure, not stoke fears.

Hillary is between a rock and a hard spot of her own making. She needs an inspiring VP nominee to match Trump's energy and appeal like a Joe Biden. Better yet a moderate Democrat who will appeal to the right leaning independents. But that will alienate the Berniac's and they will sit out this election. They are mostly young and really don't gibe a damn. If she pick a progressive, that will be easy fodder for Trump to shred Hillary to bits.
This is one scary election where any rational thinking has been dispensed of during the primaries.

Here's a fact check for you- most of this is not a fact check, it's a rebuttal. Not a particularly strong rebuttal though.
