My Dad was a Winchester guy,So while I know of those rifles I've never held nor shot one.The Model 1886 I was talking about has a serial # 5xxx,when looked up on the Winchester registry it was manufactured in 1887.It's cool that a firearm that is 125 years old is still up to the task for which it was made.
