Up is Down, Down is Up

It seems that Conservatives have chosen to codify their contempt for one of the fundamental adages of civilized political discourse, “Everyone is entitled to his own opinion, but not his own facts.” A group of conservative thinkers (oxymoron intended) has developed a Wikipedia-like website dedicated to their alternate view of the universe. Take a few minutes to peruse Conservapedia to get a sense of how they have chosen to dispose of all those pesky facts that get in the way of their ideology. I suggest scrolling down to the heading "Popular Articles at Conservapedia" in the left column and read a new take about some things you thought you knew.

Welcome to Bizarro-land, conservative style.

I refuse to accept that Republicans all think alike, I also refuse the idea that they even think. That buch of failed Ayn Rand Jack System losers are more to be pitied than anything.

Proof, dinosaurs walked with man.

It also says that dinosaurs were benevolent.

Ignorance is dangerous.

"George Soros (born August 12, 1930 in Hungary) is a leftist American businessman and one of the richest people in the world, current networth estimated to be at about $8.4 billion. The birth-name of George Soros is György Schwartz, he changed his family name in 1936 from Schwartz to Soros to avoid antisemitism."

My, what a clever little six year old he was!

Of course, it was his family who changed their name. They did it to avoid being, you know, killed.

I missed that.

Has the suppression of science and history ever been of benefit to any society?

But where ignorance is bliss 'tis folly to be wise. I think that's how it goes.
