Man, people hate those Democrats.
I was looking at this article this morning. I've sure heard a lot on the liberal media about how folks have had it with the Democrats. Sure enough, people don't like them. Least popular, Pelosi- 35% favorable.
Ah, but it seems the only thing people dislike more than a Democrat is a... wait for it... Republican! John Boehner- 24% favorable! Wow! If you watch the "liberal media" you would think Pelosi and Reid were the least popular people on earth.
The lesson? Yeah, there's some backlash to a party that gets such a huge gain. Always is. But I wouldn't be too quick to look for a huge Republican swing in 2010.

Truth be told I think people are pissed off with the lot of them. Where you might see some fun prior to November is in the Primaries. If the tea party boys and girls push for the extreme right we may see some very interesting races. We may also see some Democratic stalwarts surprised in the Primaries.

Unfortunately, I think the congressional leaders of both parties are pretty feckless. Between Pelosi, Reid, McConnell and Boehner, there isn't one I'd buy a used car (or a piece of used audio equipment) from. Certainly, there something wrong with the system they use to pick their leaders. Plus, once they've been selected the only thing that'll get 'em tossed is being found in bed with either a dead girl or a live boy* (and that may not even work from Pelosi considering that she's from SF).

Choosing a candidate this November will be like choosing between an anus and a rectal opening.
Useless, all of them.

There is the problem, an anus is useful, try keeping it shut for four days.

I would have to believe that unless there is a visible upturn in the economy, many of these folks are going to be bounced.

But only one is a certified idiot. Both Pelosi and Clinton seem to be reviled for their effectiveness.
Actually, Clinton is getting generally high marks as Secretary of State. Maybe in time she'll end up being admired by most of us.
