Former VA Governor Robert McDonnell, under Federal indictment for corruption ...

.... gets a job teaching government at Falwell's Liberty University.

RICHMOND — Former Virginia governor Robert F. McDonnell has landed a job as a part-time visiting professor of government at Liberty University’s Helms School of Government, the school announced Monday.

McDonnell (R) will serve as a guest lecturer in other professors’ government classes at the Helms School, named for former senator Jesse Helms, a Republican from North Carolina.

McDonnell was seen as a good fit for the Helms School, which blends the study of politics, criminal justice and international relations with “a Christian worldview,” the school says on its Web site. It was established 10 years ago to “develop leaders who are guided by duty, honor, morality, and civic virtue,” the site says.

I guess corruption is a Christian value that needs to be inculcated into the hearts and minds of "future leaders for the state and nation."

But he's innocent until proven guilty, isn't he?

Interesting contrast between Cedarville University and Liberty University....

I suppose, but he's unquestionably a skank. The only thing that may save him is the ridiculously permissive ethics laws in Virginia.

They'll certainly need to start counting the silverware at the school cafeteria.

It's a federal indictment, isn't it? Last I checked, the U.S. Constitution said that U.S. law trumps state law.

His argument is that he followed state law and didn't perform any "official duties" in exchange for the various gifts (totalling ~$160K he received). Apparently, the whole case hinges upon what constitutes "official duties."

I'm sure the young weasels will get the meta-message loud and clear.
