HOA election tonite in my slice of paradise

Getting ready to elect a board in a tiny (16 units) condo complex. Who would've thought that a lot of the national shit slinging, back biting and general assholedness would rear it's ugly head in as small a group as we have here. I've been called unscrupulous, lazy and champion of favoritism, and I'm not even on the ballot. Time to pin some ears back! Wish me luck.

I make sure there is no such thing were I live. Last thing I need is some bitter old prick coming around telling me what to do with my property.

LMAO-I had to promise to behave myself before they let me in. Hell, I baked goddam cookies for 'em, special recipe though. Bet you can't eat just one!
We sang Kumbaya.

I would have put a mixture of Ex-Lax and LSD in those cookies, and then hung around to watch the fun.

Might even put an end to those damn HOA meetings.

They had one of those back in Columbia where we were renting. The landlady figured the outside of the house needed painting to keep up withe the painting I had done inside. I suggested a nice colour scheme and she agreed. Some neighbour asked if the HOA had approved the colour, I said if they wanted to pay for the work I might listen but if not they could go pee up a rope.

We had an HOA over in Newport News. If it weren't for the hag across the street, I would have barely known it existed. Never went to a meeting, quit paying dues three months in. They were so slack, they never caught it.

We could have one in my neighborhood, some tried once but only a couple of families were interested. They moved on, trouble makers!

We have some guide lines but no one really cares. We pretty much leave the other guy alone here.

My brother bought a home without looking into the by laws, moved within six months. Got tired of all the BS, couldn't even have a fire in his pit without permission from the neighbors and notifying the local FD. No cars in the driveway or street, grass mowed once a week and yard had to be sprayed for weeds. That sort of BS. Even what type of trees to plant!

HOA's tend to be run by a bunch of assholes. Usually lots of politics and back stabbing involved. I'd usually be cleaning my shotgun when they'd be prowling. I'm happy I no longer deal with them, but then, I never was much into social groups unless I managed to get elected the top asshole or even better get a good friend in that position.

Good one, Chas. The cookies were snickerdoodles. How did you know?
