Quite the contrast, the SBC puts DJT, one of the worst human beings on this planet up on a pedestal and here the Catholic Church is admonishing President Biden who is a staunch believer for being a liberal.

So it's OK to be bigoted if your religion is bigoted?

(FYI, I was raised Catholic)

Isn't religion wonderful?

Just think, if the GOP is successful at tearing down the Church/State Separation, they'll be able to start beheading heretics and burning witches again! Oh, PRAISE JESUS! (Puke)

As a member of the Lapsed Catholic branch of the tree. Never figured out the whole anti abortion thing.
If there is a loving all powerful all mighty one and a heaven after death.....as a core belief?

Accepted as facts.

Then what would happen to the child?

Go straight to heaven?
Not to suffer life's turmoils.
Get used in another body?
Nothingness?

If not truly a believer, rather deep down unsure of one's believes. Thinking that this is it, nothing after. One shot at a life. Then their argument would seem to be a more powerful one.

For myself knowing that it always and will happen, just needs to be controlled.

Right. That's my take.

Just look at the history of it. Did criminalized abortion ever stop anyone from getting one? No.

All it meant was that after a woman aborted her fetus either by her own hand or that of an amateur abortionist she would;

A) Die of internal bleeding or infection due to incompetence and / or poor instrument sanitation.

B) Get caught and go to jail, racking up considerable costs for the taxpayer.

So, it makes sense to legalize and thus have the procedure performed by competent staff in a sanitary setting. Also no law enforcement, court or prison costs.

But, no. No, we would rather do it the gruesome, inhumane and inefficient old way in order to keep the Bible Thumpers imaginary friend from getting pissed and doing.........well nothing, really.

Saints be Praised.
