We live in DuPage County, IL. For 32 years the land of Henry Hyde, right wing autocrat who represented this part of the country in the US house from 1975 to 2007. For most of those years we did not even have a Democrat candidate running for most of the county and other local offices. How things have changed in DuPage represents how things have changed in this country. Orange County California presents with the same results after decades of right wing rule. I don't expect anybody to spend a whole lot of time on this page, but it represents something that we have all seen if not all of us have recognized recently. That the Democratic candidate for President has won the popular vote in seven of the last eight Presidential elections.
