On July 20th,1969 Apollo 11 landed on the moon. I was watching it live and when the crew signed off I went outside and gazed at the moon in amazement. Up and down the street our neighbors were doing the same. Everybody looking up and talking in hushed tones, a Ray Bradbury moment if you will.

I remember watching it on tv. My grandmother, who happened to be visiting, did not believe it was real.
