Any thoughts about why that may be?
Perhaps they knew what to expect?

From "Officer Slam"? Yes, I think probably so.

Quite all right.
But 'let's wait for the investigation' is sometimes the cry of those who basically want some trouble swept under the rug.

True. I do try to remain objective though. Sometimes I do, too!

You may be right. I was thinking more along the lines that they knew this student could be a trouble maker.
That in no way justifies excessive force used by the officer, if that is the final determination.

The school board can't fire someone they don't employ. He was fired by the Richland County Sheriff's Department.

I assume they can fire him from that football coaching position. That would be a good next step IMO. High school athletes do not need "Officer Slam" for a role model.

I have heard the officer has a history of stepping over the line. I don't know if that is true.
I also wonder about the history of the student.
It also occurred to me that the officer might have been set up for this viral video. With all the viral videos out there these days, ya gotta wonder .........
On the other hand..... If students felt the need to set him up, there was a problem going on long before this.
If none of this makes sense.... Please excuse me. Been in the emergency room all night and brain is on overload.

Right. Lets just decide the cop is a racist pig, which is this forum's MO in pretty much every such story. We don't got to show you no stinkin' investigation results.
