He's a grumpy old fart, for sure. I'll give him the benefit of the doubt - he was only lying most of the time, not all the time. As far as him or Palin, I see it as a choice between deceitfulness and ignorance.

As much as I dislike the scoundrel, I actually think that he and his ilk sometimes believe the dreck they're spewing. Actually believing (and spreading) these delusional fantasies may be worse than lying.
