Maybe become an American first and a republican second.
This attitude is exactly what is wrong in this country.

I wouldn't call you a liar at all. I just think you're one of the many people who have swallowed the lies that have been fed to you. For your sake and ours, I hope you and others wise up one day.

Ever since DeMint made his Waterloo metaphor (and hopefully before), Obama and the Democratic caucus knew they would have to go this alone. They screwed up both tactically and strategically. The President has the bully pulpit and should have used it to force Congress to put together a more streamlined, timely and comprehensible program and, in turn, used his bully pulpit to inform the public about the contents and benefits of said plan. He stayed on the sidelines while Pelosi and Reid screwed the pooch. I understand you're pissed at the lying and conniving the GOP did on this, but did you (or Obama) actually expect otherwise from the same group that insists that Obama was a Kenyan born Muslim terrorist?
The Democrats had the largest Senatorial majority in recent memory and proceeded to f_ck things up by the numbers - simple as that. The incompetence during this whole debacle was staggering.

Wait a second, comparing Obama to a Kenyan born Muslim terrorist is going too far..............Obama is more dangerous with his pen than any Muslim terrorist.

BS, Grassley and Hatch lied through their goddam teeth about the Canadian and British plans which are so far removed from what Congress came up with that it is laughable. But they still scared the living s**t out of the American voter who sees a socialist boogeyman under every bed.

People stop and think for a moment, the Democrats did not have the Super Majority that our undemocratic system demand. They were two short and then there were the Blue Dogs (those Republicans in drag) to consider. If indeed the Senate was a truly democratic institution they could have created a better plan. Baukus is also not someone I would describe as a liberal.
Then add in Jim Demented and Joe Wilson . . ., wish we could get South Carolina to seceed.
