In short, very light gripping front and back and no resting on hard surfaces. Also, pellet rifles can be very picky about which pellets shoot best. I've had the best performance from RWS Meisterkugeln.

With the right pellets and good shooting form, I can shoot a group about the size of a dime at 20 yards with my Gamo 1000 fps .177 scoped rifle. Bad form and lesser pellets will triple the group size.
I've got to send it out for a tune.
The guys on the RWS board say it really settles them down with only a touch of power loss.

My best shots have come using Beeman Crow Magnums so far.

That sounds like a gun manufacturer with a sense of humor.

I've always been partial to Copperheads.

Perhaps the best offering from a line which has always been less than inspiring.

I had my .44 mag super blackhawk SS 10.5" out for laser porting and it tamed the muzzle jump noticeably. An extra good thing when shooting through a scope. Made the sumbeech loud though, especially for the shooter. Between the porting and a set of large rubber pachmayr grips, it turned out to be a pretty good hunter out to 40yds, maybe 50.
