A very close friend (who is not white) got ticketed recently for improperly stopping at a Stop Sign. He was driving a spiffy Bentley and the cop stopped him a couple of blocks from his house. The reason the cop gave my friend was that the car went over the wide white line before stopping. This is in a very affluent area with just local traffic. And BTW, it's a $200 citation.

I think this was a case of profiling and the cop needed to find a cause for the stop.

There is no "evening up the score." There is no "making it better."

The only thing that fixes this is if many minorities -- today -- stop acting entitled due to what happened to their great, great, great grandparents.
