A Secretary of State has plenty of business to discuss with American business leaders in terms of trade policy, etc. As a GS-15 manager at three Federal agency headquarters, I met with industry and labor leaders all the time and served on a number of national consensus standards committees with industry and labor counterparts. I also spoke at any number of national conventions and conferences sponsored by industry and labor. I couldn't have done my job otherwise. I don't see what the big deal is.

It's perfectly straightforward. I'm amazed that you don't get it.

None beyond the troublesome fact that it's quite possibly a violation of the aforementioned section of the US Code and possibly the Hatch Act as well. It's different for civil servants such as you were.

I am not making this stuff up. It does not matter where they call from does it?

My point is Whell is holding Hillary to a double standard.

Boy talk about innuendo. You would have made a great Dick Nixon speech writer/campaign dirty tricks impresario...

Yes, it does. And whell was merely holding Hillary to the same standard as other government officials, Something Hillary has a hard time doing, as in the case of her use of a private server for her email in violation of State Dept. rules.

Here is a quote from one of Whell's GOP buddies in the House:

From the 60 Minutes segment:

Rep. David Jolly: The House schedule is actually arranged, in some ways, around fundraising.

Norah O'Donnell: You're telling me the whole schedule of how work gets done is scheduled around fundraising?

Rep. David Jolly: That's right. You never see a committee working through lunch because those are your fundraising times. And then in between afternoon votes and evening votes, that's when you can see Democrats walking down this street, Republicans walking down that street to spend time on the phone making phone calls.

And your giving Hillary crap about meeting some people on Wall Street.
Apologize to Hillary Whell.....

Do you realize John that you and Whell are actually in agreement on an issue?
That is bigger than the Brexit.....

About an isolated fact. Nothing more.

There seems to be an awful lot of "But Mom, everybody is doing it" around here.
