Lol! I've tried to get my wife into a Miata for a while. If topgear says they're great I'm sure they are.

I usually use studded snow tires on the various beasts I drive but didn't have a spare set of rims for the 03, so I tried those Goodyear Ultra Grips or the rear and they are just the smallest whisker less effective than studs, they really work well.

Unless you WANT to do donuts I do every year, drives the SO nuts

My car!

Well close. A while back I owned a 1976 Lincoln Mark IV for a couple years.

Same color, moonroof, but it had a 1/4 top like the grey car I pic'd (which looks much better in my humble opinion). With the driver's window down I could put my hands behind my head and stretch out completely backwards at a light. Over 19 feet long.

Truly an awesome car. More sheer presence than anything else I've owned.

No affiliation blah blah blah....

About three acres of hood and well over four hundred cubic inches, but only 150 hp. Ah, the late '70s........

That being said, I did love those big ol' boats. My Aunt had a four door '76 Cadillac Coupe' de Elegance. Midnight Blue with a Medium Blue velour interior. A rolling livingroom if there ever was one. Rode like floating on a cloud.

Regards,
Dave

Little bit over 200 really, and plenty of torque (my SO said 'at least hills aren't a problem') but not a rocket in a 5200+ lb car, not at all

That thing would cruise over 100 mph all day long. If I had it now the engine would make gobs of HP for sure! Easy in the mighty 460. The engine looked industrial.

If you look at the space between the front of the engine and the end of the grill I think you're looking at the length of the entire hood on a modern car.

It looked GREAT with raised whites on those aluminum dish mags. And you could take 12 of your closest friends lol.

My buddy had a mid-70s Cadillac Sedan de Ville gunship. He was proud that it slept six.

Those 16" naval guns retract beautifully behind the headlights.

The Mid '70s Towncars were awesome too. Remember the commercial with the guy cutting diamonds in the back seat?
