The Mid '70s Towncars were awesome too. Remember the commercial with the guy cutting diamonds in the back seat?

I drove one like this in high school for a couple of years. The young ladies liked it!

Gaa! Beautiful cars. My first time driving was a '73 Toronado.

After seeing it on TopGear I really, really want this:
Side:
Maybe not the greatest car in any way ever built but SO COOL. And what a sound! They had it up against a couple other cars including the Caterham 7 which I drool over. I kept going back and forth, "but the Cat is more useful, faster, etc", still I think I'd end up with the wood framed Morgan

Since I haven't mentioned my ongoing car issues ina few weeks I'm sure you're all DYING with curiousity. I found the vacuum leak(s - three of them) on the 85, it runs pretty darn good but not perfect, and I finally figured out the root cause of the wobble on the 03 - lower control arm bushings! On a 10 year old car with 70k! Bah. I appreciate the handling on the new front end but give me the inexpensive durabilty of the old one.

That's neat too And, it has a roof! What a concept.
Hate to get smacked by a semi in it!
Apparently we're the only folks here cool enough to like these
In the same episode it had Brutus, which did have an aircraft motor.
Rockers on the outside!
"An 1908 American-LaFrance [fire engine] chassis with chaindrive was being used as a basis for Brutus. A 12-cylinder 1925 BMW aircraft engine with 46 liters displacement and a constant performance of 500 hp at 1500 rpm was mounted on top. "

I like topgears' explaination, something like, with oversteer you don't see the tree that kills you, with understeer, you do
Turns out that the little wobble in the 03 is a known problem. The insane (6-700 hp!) Mercury Marauder guys are helping me.
I also heard tell that there's a black box in it that can be used as evidence in court, things like seat belt latched, braking or not, cornering gs... wonder how common that is?
I finally found the vacuum leaks in the 85 (all 3!), I can see why the mechanic missed the one. Still knocking in the front end but it's tight, can't find it, ;shrug: ?

At the gas station uesterday, getting into the 03, a guy walks by and says, that's a beautiful machine. I thank him as he walks to his new looking Sonata, and trying to return the compliment tell him Car and Driver said Hyundai might take over the world with that car.
He said, God I hope not!
