Primaries not being open to all voters is a factor of our crazy electoral system and the fact that the feds leave all the rules up to the individual states.

The fact that open primaries exist means that closed primaries can be eliminated and they should be.

Are independents voting in Democratic primaries guilty of rat fucking or does that depend on whom they vote for? Wouldn't you like it if #NeverTrump Republicans could vote for Hillary next week?
