Again, I understand what you are saying. But there is money in selling the story and we do, after all, live in a free market society.

But why not go after the manufactures of the pressure cooker? Chit we can even go after the makers of nails, Ball bearing and remote control cars… There all WMD’s… think of the wind fall of money.
Unless I misunderstand their purpose, the primary use of pressure cookers, nails, ball bearings or ever remote control cars, is NOT to kill.

Yup, in the right hands they are not, but either are guns. To say guns are only used for killing is disingenuous and naive.

Are you suggesting that guns are not designed to provide lethal force? I seems to me that such a suggestion would be described as disingenuous and naive.

Some are used for hunting animals, some are used for target shooting. Some do nothing but hang in a display case for people to look at.

However, I'm pretty sure that more people have been deliberately and directly killed with firearms than any other invention of man. Because that IS the primary purpose of them and always has been.

So, stop it with this ".......disingenuous and naive.", because it is neither. The only act of naivete' taking place around here, is your assumption that the rest of us are dumb enough to believe the nonsense you spew.

True.

They are used for killing very efficiently.

My error.

New one on me but maybe my experience in Iraq has affected my outlook.
The only purpose of a weapon is to harm or kill another or threatening to use it in such a way as to control other people.

Bada bing bada boom.

Actually, my mother in law was a good cook, except that she put mayo on grilled cheese sandwiches.

Hey! What's the matter with mayo on grilled cheese sandwiches?!

Life is too short to leave those arteries unclogged.
