I sure miss the ol' boy though. He certainly has a great way with words. Maybe I should go over to AK and beg and plead with a PM.

Perhaps it's because AK is one of the nicest boards I know of, seriously and genuinely. I've had people say, a website really has a secret santa? Really? I hope I haven't offended a single soul there.

Here, you guys can all rot

Also, folks who really enjoy discussing politics generally have more developed views. Not that we're smarter, but we've been forced to examine our positions - because those disagreeing will quietly, gently, point out inconsistencies in our arguments

We also maybe have stronger beliefs because of it. That said I've detected herd mentality here. Because (the other side) really are evil, they get told so immediately, perhaps for the sake of their souls.

We should probably remember that next time a newcomer drops in.

This is more civil than most. Heck, it's more civil than a lot of regular CAR forums I stop in.

I enjoy the razor wit and sharp retorts. But, as russman used to say, you've got to have elephant hide to argue online. And you sure can't take it personally.

Pete

What political sites are more respectful of each other except for a straight DEM or straight GOP site?

People come and go all the time on message boards for many reasons and political boards I am sure have the highest incident of this.

In other words I respectfully disagree that Political chat is a cesspool.
I guess I too employed a little hyperbole.

Why don't you join Charles and me in a cold one?

We could get a good look at each other and read body language. Probably understand each other better.
