How many is the question. Too many is the answer.

What is disturbing is that you think the New York Times is the truth.

Old saying, figures don't lie but liars figure.

Major cities quit reporting crimes to the FBI data base. So, who knows what the crime numbers are.

People believe what they want to believe, that is their truth.

You think you are immune to it ?

The 3 points made in the NYT excerpt are factual and I fully grasp that MAGA gets confused and upset by facts.

I am immune from the belief that a sexual predator, lifelong fraudster, convicted felon and wannabe dictator driven by narcissistic rage to destroy the criminal justice system, DoD, the intel community, and medical research is a good thing for American democracy.

Dumb people want a dumb guy to vote for, smart people want a smart guy to vote for. It's sort of unusual for the country to split on this line, but we've managed to do it.

Even if you're immune to it, the dumb guy won. But I'm not convinced you're immune to it.

The "trust but verify" requirement is not longer applicable to those who live in social media.

"A Lie Can Travel Halfway Around the World While the Truth Is Putting On Its Shoes", (unknown origin).

If I claim that a steam locomotive is a clean burning engine as the name implies, how many would challenge me? I will just keep repeating "its a steam engine, it uses steam to generate power" over and over and over........

You realize you are in third place now behind Republicans and Independents.

There is a reason for that.

Oh, it's we are all stupid.

Sort of like pissing on the people's leg and telling them it is raining.

Over, and over, and over

Like the 2020 election was stolen because of widespread voter fraud?

I think it's largely a failure on the part of the Dems to recognize just who and what they're dealing with. I was watching (CNN?) and some liberal talking head was professing outrage at one of Trump's circumventions of (or outright disregard for) a government norm or tradition and I thought, "You just don't get it, do you? This is what they DO. That's the whole point of his administration and you should really quit your whinging and start thinking of ways to deal".

The people, after seeing up close one of the guys, recoiled in consternation. A "coup" was enacted. But lo and behold the guy is still in charge or is he?
