Whether the act described in the link was a hate crime is questionable. Simply being obnoxious or racist is not a crime. We have lived in Contra Costa County, CA since 1987. Used to be very conservative and now its turning quite liberal. If someone painted "White Lives Matter" or "All Lives Matter", I would presume that most of us would laugh and walk away. I seriously doubt though if any town will grant a permit.

The annual Women's March is a huge event here that is well supported by both sexes.
