What statutes can give, statutes can take away. He's got a GOP congress.
But what I'd expect is an expansion in the depth of the 'top layer' of political appointees. Go from the current 4000 to maybe 30,000 or so. Who cares about the worker bees, if you've got ALL the decision-makers?

Very prescient, Ice. He's already doing so.
Donald Trump’s transition team has issued a list of 74 questions for the Energy Department, asking agency officials to identify which employees and contractors have worked on forging an international climate pact as well as domestic efforts to cut the nation’s carbon output.
The questionnaire requests a list of those individuals who have taken part in international climate talks over the past five years and “which programs within DOE are essential to meeting the goals of President Obama’s Climate Action Plan.”

Yes Pat that is what I meant. I wasn't talking about lower level guys like me but professionals whose experience actually makes the cabinet agencies run year in and year out. Men and women you probably actually know.

It'll be interesting to see whether DOE's Office of Counsel allows responses to questions about specific staff. They shouldn't.

Maybe Trump should take a look at your position too.
You seem to have a lot of free time to cork off on this forum during working hours.

Just what we need. A micro-managing twit who knows absolutely nothing about government, science, and/or civil service law. That'll work out just fine....NOT.

Obviously I didn't mean Trump himself should look at Ice's position.
He'll have "people" to do things like that.
They will be great people.
The best people.
They'll be able to spot a double dipping Goldbricker in no time.

Yeh, I'm sure having Trump henchmen wandering the halls is sure to boost morale.

Need to take a close look at those Federal Government contractors too.
See if there's any fat we can trim there too.
