Having qualified more than once with a 9mm Baretta there may be a firing range accuracy, but in real life everyone knows a pistol is not worth shit in combat. In Iraq we used to say leave one bullit in your weapon (meaning pistol in our case being Corpsman) for yourself. In other words if you are having to use a pistol you must be the last guy standing in a firefight or convoy surrounded by the enemy about to be taken POW.
It is hard to qualify with a pistol on the range standing still. I would imagine in a real life situation the accuracy really goes down after a few feet.

IIRC Tom's son had much more specialized training. he wears one of those funny green French caps.
Here's a thought, how about we tone down the personal attacks just a little bit?

Special training in language, cultural, and training skills in working with foreign troops as well as humanitarian assistance, information operations, peacekeeping, psychological operations or security assistance does NOT make you superhuman or able to defy physiological mechanics under duress.
I still call bullshit on Tom Joad's ongoing boasting.
Facts aren't personal attacks, they're just facts.

I wasn't directing that solely at you old friend and it was a poor choice of words, mea culpa. We all tend to blow hard when we first come on this forum until we get the sharp edges knocked off, I know I did and still do now and then. Sorry.

"How not to get your ass kicked by the police?" (above link)
TONS of truth in that.
Satire comes from validity.

Still bullshit.

Have you been to SFARTAETC Zeke?
I don't think so.
The only shooting you are good at is shooting off your mouth.

My son has often said to me "We're not Supermen."
He's been to too many funerals of his buddies to think that.
Most of the Green Beret's I have met, which I'm pretty damned sure is considerably more than you have are very modest.
You, on the other hand are as arrogant an asshole as I have ever met.
A sure sign of a wannabe.
As for being able to function under duress I feel that my son's six combat tours to the middle east as a Green Beret have provided him with considerably more experience along those lines than your typical coffee swilling, doughnut eating stateside Cop.
