Nothing is unrelated in this country anymore, the stain of F47 will be everywhere. As for the market, what I believe (IIRC) is going on is that Fed chair has been denying Trump's clamor to reduce the interest rates ever since he regained the WH mostly because the inflation has been high.

Now due to forced deportations, tariffs and other related economic activities including AI, unemployment is creeping up and Fed chair Powell has signaled a rate decrease as high as 1/2 points and more to come for the next three quarters.

So of course the stock market swallowed some happy pills, will adjust again downward next week but will stay optimistic till the rate drops.

Now it seems the administration is targeting black cities, first DC and Baltimore and Chicago next. Would be interesting to see how Chicago since I know the city extremely well.

From my reading though, red states including blue cities in them have higher crime rates than blue states and perhaps DC, Baltimore and Chicago are outliers.

Those other states, including MD, have governors with jurisdiction over their National Guards and Governor Moore has already said he won't allow our NG to be used by Cankles. What we're not seeing because the media is hiding it are the protests in DC. I guarantee any military presence sent here by Cankles will not receive a warm welcome. Speaking of Governor Moore, he seems to be taking Gavin Newsom's lead in going after Cankles directly. Just not as brutally, yet.

I had to look it up: the largest white - majority city in the US is my downstate neighbor Columbus, Ohio, 14th largest city in the US, according to that bastion of accuracy Wiki.

I'm heading to my native Chicago for a 3 day weekend next month, hope to NOT see soldiers on the corners.

Sidenote, back in the BLM riot days Chicago's feisty then-mayor Lightfoot took them out pretty quick (without the National Guard). She backed them up against the river and raised the drawbridges lol

Checked, indeed Columbus is the mid sized city with a majority white population, Indianapolis qualifies at barely at 50-50. None of the large cities have a white majority.
