Further, isn't the democratic party in support of card check for union elections?

I can't think of a good reason that they'd be against IDs for voting. Can you?

Especially as the one instance of election fraud was by the GOP in Florida.

Last week while visiting my doctors office...they requested my driver's license to copy and put with my medical insurance information. When I asked why?
I was told... to prove who I said I was.
It seems there are those who use others medical insurance cards .
It didn't bother me...frankly I expected it to occur.

It's not the 50's anymore.

Yes. I experienced the same thing and was told the same when I was admitted for my hernia surgery. Twice, once at the surgeons office and once at the hospital.

Apparently this type of health insurance fraud is another aspect of the growing healthcare problem.

Personally, I think if everyone had their own coverage to begin with, this wouldn't happen.

The question stands. Why do democrats support IDs in some circumstances, but do not want them for public elections? IDs are quite ubiquitous and needed for virtually every aspect of modern day life.

Why do you call it "fraud." Didn't several independent recounts by press demonstrate that Bush still would have won in 2000.
