More Monday morning gold.

Some Axelrod 'gold' for Monday morning. Does this mean Obama is starting another week like last. One can only hope .

“The choice in this election is between an economy that produces a growing middle-class and that gives people a chance to get ahead and their kids a chance to get ahead and an economy that continues down the road we’re on.” - David Axelrod, April 15, 2012

Wow! Does he realize that Obama is the incumbent in this election? Perhaps Axelrod is loading his teleprompter with 4 year old speeches like Obama's been doing... hehehe. Who knows what these boobs are up to. What I can say is that this is one of the rare times I can completely agree with one of Axelrod's statements regarding this (or any) election. Right on Axelrod, Rosen. Keep 'em coming.

You need to pick up a copy of "Winner take all Politics" to know what he is talking about. Both parties are complicit in this state of affairs, but I suppose that in a country that considers the next quarter as long range planning I might have expected your conclusion.

+1. Well stated, Rob.

And Mezz,

Blah, blah, blah, blah, blah..............

We've had a six year stretch of Republican control, House Senate and Whitehouse, Bush tax cuts and all.................................We should have been livin' like royalty then.....right? Or is that right about when the downhill slide started?

Been trying to find out which SCOTUS was the one that legalized bribery (Oh I know you call it lobbying) but search engines are not much help. Now we have the Robert's court putting the country up for sale to the highest bidders with that completely assinine Citizens decision has me wondering. Shall we end up changing the name to the United States of Exxon Mobil or perhaps the United States of Astra Zenica. The United States of Koch has a certain ring to it, or even the Unnited States of the NRA.

The Corporate States of America?

It had to be a long time ago, Rob. Wasn't it U.Grant that coined the term "lobbyist"?

I just pulled up a list of their decisions, from A to Z and lobbying was not listed.

We could fit the United States of China in there.
Another $ store will be opening within three miles of my front door. This will be #4.

A thought, but I have the feeling they would rather have us independent from the Chinese mainland so we can keep on buying all their trashy products.

A function of the free market. A response to the lack of cash flow even among the employed. Obviously, the answer is lower wages, regulation eased to allow employers to "lean up" more here and there and a fat tax cut for the top 1%............
