Yeah, and if "Dave got it" anybody can.........

I don't see any sarcasm here.

BTW, I've been in plenty of fist fights in my younger days, not afraid to admit I got my tail beat pretty good a few times..........But, I don't recall anyone being shot during any of those events. Most likely because neither of the hot heads in any of those little squabbles-----HAD A GUN.

And, again, if amateur Dirty Harry had kept his overzealous ass in the car and broke off pursuit when instructed to do so, would this thread exist? I have my doubts.

It's not like none of us have had to deal with HOAs and their self appointed neighborhood defenders before.

I was in a few myself. Never wanted to kill the other guy. If I did want to, I certainly could have brought a gun, and I'm sure most of my opponents could have as well.
You can come get in my face today (or follow me around as you suggested, though it would be horribly boring for you) and I won't even feel the desire to swing at you, much less kill you.
If you have bad breath, or spittle is landing on me, or you stay in my face for very long, I will certainly remove you from my personal space, but beyond that I don't see the point in becoming violent.
If however, someone starts a physical assault, or threatens with a deadly weapon, all bets are off and I protect myself as law allows.

Yeah I got blind sided at closing time on Broadway and 51st when I was younger. Left me legally blind in my left eye.

Stupid me, the guy was so big and hit me so hard that I came away thinking no one could seriously hurt me in a fight. Age did eventually take care of this false belief.

Sounds sensible enough, my Alaskan friend.

I'd like to ad, however, that even if someone hit me and then the that confrontation was terminated and when I called in law enforcement and they told me to stop following that individual....I would. I wouldn't confront him again, only to end up in yet another scuffle.

Last I checked the role of a neighborhood "watch" was to observe and report. Heck, even when I was standing barracks or hangar "watch" in the Navy, we weren't armed.
Our job was to patrol, observe and report.

Maybe you should have gone to the nearest gun shop, bought a gun and some ammo, then tracked him down and shot him? After all, you should stand your ground.

Oh, I know. Honestly, it wouldn't take much to put me on my butt in my current condition. Something I'm not too proud of and need to do something about.

You can't win a fight, but you can for sure damn well lose one.

Leave if you can, there ain't no percentage in sticking around until things get ugly.

I could elaborate on this, but it's not necessary. Leave if you can.

Boy reading comprehension is really at a low point here.

Pete asked me if I was planning concealed carry.

I said not beyond the boundary of our property.

We mind our own business and trust tha6t others will

We enjoy our peace and quiet.

If you were to get in my face and I were to kill you it seems rather obvious to me that you would be in my home or on my land illegally as this is the only place I could legally have a gun with me. I am in the habit of telling trespassers that they have 30 seconds to leave (which I did not mention) but is this not what the "castle laws" are all about?

It's not a reading comprehension problem Rob, it's purposely twisting and/or sensationalizing and/or exaggerating another's intent, to suit one's argument. Many times it's an off topic subject as well. That's the game here. I get it in response to a majority of my posts.
