There's a cheap fix to try! Thanks! How did you go about it?

On my B&K 607, I just took a jewelers screwdriver and pushed the contacts together.

post #1 Silver and black.(Sorry, the pain meds have rotted my brain)
Charles hit the nail on the head, take a tiny flat head screw driver and slip into each socket from the top and gently bend the metal at the top to make it tighter. It takes very little pressure.

Wish I could blame it on the pain meds.
Must of been the psilocybin, or the LSD 25, or the hard likker. I don't think those "little white" truck driver pills done me much good either.
Or a dozen or so of near heat strokes, or that idiot that dropped a SN IV on my noggin, but somewhere along the line I'm losing what little intelligence I started with.
Of course, the advantage of brain damage is that you finally realize you don't possess the wits to claim that you were the first to discover fire.

Hey, I resemble just about all of that except the SN IV, that must've left a dent.
I sure hope that it wasn't connected when it hit you. Getting a sinker in the head would seriously hurt. I have set myself on fire once or twice.
Have you replaced the caps in the Akai?

No, haven't got around to it.
So far, no sinkers in the head, just a couple in the hand and one in the ribcage.
Was it exciting when you set fire to yourself?

Sounds like me. Had to try everything short of needles, back in the day. Although I never got hit with a SN IV, whatever that is. I did put out a windshield with my head once, also took a direct baseball strike just above my right ear. Then there was the numerous drunken fist fights in my Navy days........

I'm guess this is directed at me. And yes, they've all been replaced.

Senco SN IV. They weigh 11 pounds.

I was lucky the little idiot only dropped it 3 or 4 feet. The upside was that since it hit me in the head, it didn't damage the gun at all.
Them things used to cost four hundred bucks!!!
BTW, sorry to hear about the windshield. I'll bet it hurt having to buy a new one of those!!!
