My grass is a foot deep. I mowed it before the surgery. I was planning to do it today, but it's raining.......(And, I'm not supposed to be doing that yet. )

Wasn't quite a foot deep but the first job was to pick up all the winter downed branches, that took most of a day. Then it rained, in fact it was/is supposed to rain here today. I hope so because I threw out some grass seed.

If I had the money, I'd cut down every damn tree on my property and then cover the lawn with concrete.

Hubby mowed last week. We had snow yesterday (2--3") and temps that varied from 25--37 degrees.
Local farmers are concerned for the apple trees that were weeks ahead of production. Not to mention grape vines. And so it goes....

A friend of mine covered his entire yard with rocks. Big ones. Sprayed the yard with Round Up and laid weedblock over it first, then sand, pea gravel, then the rocks.
I used to think he was nuts.
But, he doesn't even own a lawnmower........

When I was about 12, my dad put me in the lawn mowing business. Had to push that damned old 22" Briggs with a deck that was built like a '57 Buick all over town. Then I hit a water meter cover and he made me buy him a new mower.
Worked my ass off all summer and he wound up with a new mower while I wound up with around 20 bucks.
I've been sour on lawn mowing every since.
I didn't hate trees until I dropped around 10K cutting the bastards down, and there are more to go. Actually, it was the "Fence Row War" I became engaged in with one of my neighbors. But I don't want to say too much about it because the statutes of limitations may have not run out yet. Last time I really lost my temper.
One thing about it, they no longer fuck with me.
And Noon, in case you're wondering, I didn't use a gun.

Good to see you understand that it's just not necessary.

He should have just put down DDT, he may have grown an extra arm but nothing would grow there.
