Sorry, you lost me right here. I would never take such an action. I would instead keep moving toward a populated location, like back to the store. While I might gain some advantage by becoming the initial aggressor, I would rather attempt to avoid the confrontation altogether. I still don't know the black man even means me any harm. He may just be traveling the same path as I am, or he may be a community patrol and thinks I look suspicious. If I become the aggressor, I immediately lose my credibility as an innocent citizen.

Actually, he didn't lose you. You got it, you just don't realize it. Re-read you own post and think about it.

Good job, Nooner!

Ok, I've thought about it more. Trayvon was over 6 feet tall and thin. I bet he could run like the wind. Zimmerman is overweight and much slower. If Trayvon felt threatened by the guy he had already stared down and sized up, he could have easily just run around a couple blocks and laughed at the out of breath fat guy trying to follow him.
He did not. He chose confrontation and violence and it was the wrong choice.

All big black men are evil, and sell insurance.

Btw, I still haven't received any donations yet. Did you know, the New White Tigers accept Hispanics now?

Somebody had been calling for help before the shot, there is enough that they should be able to verify whether it was Zimmerman or the kid.

Trayvon Martin 911 Tape on you tube:

Dunno about all this hoodie business. Sure the kids around here wear them but so does my 56 year old next door neighbor. a bright yellow one, my dad wore them too.

And Zimmerman could have backed off when he was told to.

I was eating lunch at a place with a TV on CNN.

I don't know what was said but I just witnessed amazing performance art: some Representative from IL (a mature black guy) went to the podium in the House, removed his suit jacket and conservative specs, pulled up the hood on a hoodie and donned urban sunglasses to speak.

He was thrown off the floor and admonished.

BRILLIANT.

If only we could get all the house members to put on hoodies and sit silently like monks...
