I like Joss Stone more and more on every listen. I stumbled upon her after listening to the supergroup SuperHeavy. Chariots of Fire I've enjoyed since seeing the movie at the theater. Bright Eyes was recommended by someone on AK.

The Soul Sessions is excellent. Watch the DVD of Jeff Beck Live at Ronnie Scott's. Joss Stone does a cover of "People, Get Ready" that is absolutely killer. Feast your eyes and ears upon this.(the sound on this clip is a bit harsh. The original is stunning.)

Personally, I'd set the bar for being an insufferable fool a little lower...maybe 7,500 posts.
I may be an elitist snob, but I have no intention of pulling the ladder up behind be.

OK, so how have I missed out on this soul volcano for so long? Dayum. That sent me off on a youtube surf for awhile. Joss Stone and Melissa Ethridge do a pretty good job of channeling Janis Joplin on another video. It appears that lots and lots of big stars enjoy working with her too. Jeff Beck, LeAnn Rimes, Tom Jones, John Legend and on and on.
Regards,
D-Ray
