Some old tapes of some of my fav R&B singers.
Smiley Lewis, whom I prefered to Fats Domino.
Ivory Joe Hunter, a prolific writer and performer.
Clyde McPhatter, who did well for himself apart
from his time with the Drifters.

Golden Earring Collected 2009
Anyone else like them? Until I bought this set, I only knew them for Radar Love and Twilight Zone.

Wow, a blast from my past. My first year of college was 1975. I had several Golden Earring (s) albums from the 60's and early 70's. I really liked their progressive rock period. I am going to have to see if I still have the albums. A lot of trading and borrowing went on back in those days.

Last night, in a Vicodin induced haze, I apparently listened/slept through the Best of Radiohead Lp box set. Which it's good that I was semi-concious, because that is one of the worst sounding pressings in my library..........

Just heard Dolly singing "Jolene" on the radio. I never realized just how stunning Dolly was.
But that's before I found out I was actually listening to Norah Jones & the Little Willies from the "For The Good Times" CD.
Just bought it.

Genesis-"Blood on the Rooftops" from Wind and Wuthering 7.5 IPS Reel to Reel.
Cool, grey, rainy....Just feels like an English day.

I finally gave up on reel to reels.
Don't need about four of them, do you?
