Probably, however, much less than some people think. There are so many different polls that I'd argue that one is offset by another. Band wagon and underdog effects are likely small in national elections, but I'd suspect become more relevant at the local level where the likelihood of opposing polls is less.

Polling results are fluid. What went down can go up. Like Obama's lead over Romney.

What you have to remember though, is the dems are sitting with a billion in campaign funds just waiting to see who wins the republican nomination. With all of the republican fodder that has been happening over the last several months, when the flood gates open, oh boy.....

And I will laugh at the ignorance that would nominate such a closeted troglodyte knowing full well the result.

Obama would eviscerate 2/3 of the Republican triad (discounting Ron Paul as irrelevant) in any debate and the one smart guy carries a two ton bag of skeletons.

There are those who criticize Obama as a President. That's fine.

I don't know anyone who sells his campaign skills short...

If Obama is smart, and he is, he's had his people following those clowns around, picking up their trash and saving it. So he can dump it on their heads when the time comes.

Really, it's still several months out, things could change but it will be interesting nonetheless.
