"A well regulated militia being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed."

This has to be interpreted differently now in 2012 then when it was written, and has been over the years. So it should be.
We are not under attack on the frontier by the Native Americans for stealing their land anymore. Or have European colonies on our borders either.

Of course it does, the Government is telling the church to violate their own principles and beliefs against birth control, and to be complicit in the commission of an mortal sin. It doesn't matter that the person that you give them too does not believe, only that you have given them the means to commit the sin, knowing that is their intention.

Aiding and abetting in the commission of a sin.

Please check the ruling of SCOTUS concerning the Second Amendment.

No, we only have drug cartels on and over our border, and maybe a few people that would be happy to kill and maim a few thousand Americans.

Your the reason I refuse to help anyone that does not own a firearm. You might be able to talk your way out of the situation, tell your home invaders that you love them, and tell me how that works for you.

I own guns and enjoy them too! I did say that the law needs to be updated and clarified with the times. The 2nd needs to be regulated we should agree.

As to another thought of yours about church and state,

"Render unto Caesar the things which are Caesar's, and unto God the things that are God's"

Exactly Barney,

God's Laws cannot be relinquished for Silver or Gold.. And by the beliefs of the Catholics, everyone is under their interpolation of God's Laws.

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof;

Just what part of "PROHIBITING THE FREE EXERCISE THEREOF" don't you comprehend !

While this article doesn't answer your question, but creates more, I found it interesting on several points.

It's a comedy of errors, gives text book examples of government doublespeak and clueless bureaucrats, offers insight into not only the growth of government over the last 50 years, but the public's perception of such, and even demonstrates how much value the dollar has lost over the same time period.

By the way, I woke up at 3:00 AM, decided I may as well just get up, fixed a pot of coffee, finally put on my reading glasses on the second cup, and discovered it was 1:30 AM. Nothing like getting an early start on the day.

Perhaps if Caesar didn't seize so much of our wealth in the first place, he wouldn't have us all by the short hairs.

Dealing with Caesar is a lot like dealing with the Mob.

Nonsense. IMO----screw the church anyways. Make them do it, then if they try to influence the political process, revoke their tax exemption.
